A Flawed Equation

If your fat the first thing someone who is thin might tell you is, "Oh, it's easy to lose weight, because scientists have determined that weight is just, food in minus exercise out." While there is more truth to this comment then most fad diet programs it's actually much more complicated.

It's not, Fat = F - E;

F = Kcal of Food
E = Kcal of Exercise

It's more like, Change in Fat = F*Pf + C - (Mr + A)*Pe - M

And I am not a doctor, so you could probably make the equation even more accurate! However, I am very confident that this equation covers the basic ideas of human metabolism and weight loss. Let's look at the different factors, and then in later posts I will post valuable information on how to control each variable.

F = Kcal of Food, you think you consumed
Pf = Perception of your food intake that differs from reality
C = Kcal from Muscle consumption
Mr = Calories you think you used to restore anaerobic muscle energy and repair/grow muscle (ATP)
A = Calories you think you burned during Aerobic exercise
Pe = Perception of your Exercise that differs from reality
M = Metabolic calories burned for general maintenance of your body.
