Max Contraction is probably bullshit, Mike Mentzer could be my hero

So I looked at some Max Contraction videos. Can't say I am impressed. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and I didn't see any evidence. Sure, I saw lots of ripped athletes pimping the system, but all of them gained most of their muscle using traditional methods of lifting. They only switched to using the MC system later, probably once the camera started rolling. The Max Contraction system also fails the old science rule.

The chance that someone created a revolutionary but unproven way of doing something recently are inversely proportional to the chance that someone has already figured out an adequate way to do the same thing, which by definition of adequate has been proven to work.

I thus present to you:
Mike Mentzer

Yes that is a 70's/80's mustache. This guy is already dead. He is still revered as a body building God. Does he have the answer?

We shall see, and perhaps in a few months I will report back.

Max Contraction is shit!
THE SHIT!!!
I'm surprised you like Mentzer but seem to take the same small minded approach to weight lifting as all the dumbbells who gave Mentzer a hard time.

Have a great day, I'm going to soak my aching body in the ocean while the sun sets. The pain of max contractions usually goes away after a few days of this!

Ha ha ha. No at the time I wrote this I was just starting to get on the right track to fitness.

When I said Max contraction is probably bullshit I was being skeptical. If I had said the Holiday cookie diet is probably bullshit or the average tacky exercise equipment is probably bullshit, I would be right.

Mike Mentzer is still one of my heros, because he used his mind to help figure out his fitness. Thus I started on my own path to hone my mind.

I did this by studying objectivism:

Soaking in the ocean is fun but you may want to eliminate inflammation causing foods from your diet.
